![]() The positive aspect of this, although one could also see it as rather negative, is, that this whole feature does not really serve a purpose in the game anyway, it is just a cosmetical timesink. You have it all over the place because the game checks every single time it has to load a settlement. The whole system is pretty much broken to the bone and my gut feeling is, that this was the last feature they worked on. I have a few mods, mostly to do with prettying up the commonwealth or building related and a few to get rid of godrays to help stabalize the game. If your settlement had happiness below 50, it would be shifted upwards instead. They don't exactly make other settlers unhappy, they just drag down the average if you're above 50. It's why you want to make sure your food and bed stuff doesn't make that auto-assignment kick in, otherwise you get bed situations and assignment lags every time to visit a place. Hey Scavvers, recently been playing FO4 again (new save with mods on PS4) and I am having some major lagging, FPS drops and crashing while in the Mechanists lair. Robots have a set happiness of 50, so will lower your settlement's happiness unless you have enough bonus happiness to offset it (dogs, cats, restaurants, clinics, etc.). The way the auto-assignment clogs up the queue until the player's orders take literally forever to get processed is just abysmal. Not sure if it was the last thing they added, heh, but they sure didn't put much thought in it. You have it all over the place because the game reinstates that table every single time it has to load a settlement, and if it stupidly thinks there's anything to optimize, from roofless beds to unharvested crops and unemployed settlers, it just ♥♥♥♥♥ everything up over and over again. "Right, I think I wanted to hammer against the wall here for absolutely no reason other than making noise." No shop assignment works there and also assigning them to other tasks usually leads to them slowly getting out of the chair and after 3 steps of walking, complete amnesia. Unfortunately it happens all the time in sanctuary hills, which is my main base. Originally posted by gX-kiD:I don't think this bug has anything to do with the settlement in the first place, I have it randomly all over the place. and if nothing else helps, you might as well consider a purge and disable + markfordelete everyone but the Abernathys. Just don't remove too many beds at once or the game will crap itself again by trying to assign them automatically. If still nothing helps, you can try to reassign beds one by one. This mod is a general overhaul of the Robot / Automatron DLC mechanics, plus some settlement objects. If not it means a farmer could be looking for a last food item to harvest. Secondly, make sure you got a factor of 6 in your food supply, as in 6 or 12 or 18 or 24. For one, the whole area where there's one matrasse on the floor isn't valid. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do since the game doesn't tell you what's wrong, but you can try to fix it:įirst, make sure noone sleeps without a roof, especially in the pre-build Abernathy house. That stacks up the queue and it takes forever (like those 5-10 mins you mentioned) to finish. ![]() In the worst case, all while you stand there and assign them jobs at the same time. Once they start to bug out, they stop using their pre-owned beds that no normal settler can use, and the game desperately tries to reassign beds for the fools. Now, with those silly family NPCs, what's usually wrong is their bed situation. Thing is, all assignments you order are handled in a single queue apparently, and to make it worse, the game also uses that same queue when something is wrong. It unfortunately makes any place that has a "family" there a real nuisance to manage.
